The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) is a mandatory program designed to assist those who are receiving food stamp benefits from the state of Florida transition into the world of work and into self-sufficiency.

Workforce Re-entry

with Pasco County and CareerSource Pasco Hernando

The Program will provide re-entry assistance for Pasco County residents and funded by Penny for Pasco, will allow faster turnaround for employment than traditional apprenticeship programs

Opioid Recovery Program

Are Your In Recovery for Opioid Addiction?

Do Your Need Assistance Gaining Employment?

CareerSource Pasco Hernando is partnering with area partners to develop strategies that foster recovery from opioid and addiction issues affecting our area workforce.

Assistance to those affected include;

Developing short and long-term employment goals that coincide with treatment plans.

Providing training and career services to individuals affected by the opioid crisis and to (re)integrate them into the workforce, including domestic partners and family members.

Using On-the-Job Training (OJT) and Occupational Skills Training (OST) to achieve permanent employment for individuals in treatment and their families.

Holding training sessions in Evidence Based Practices (EBP) designed for Employers to educate on how to approach employees with issues related to addiction in the workplace.

Awarding a limited number of scholarships to individuals in order for them to complete a post-graduate level degree focused on counseling individuals who suffer from addiction.

All funds must follow WIOA laws, rules, and regulations.  

Participant Eligibility - Individuals must meet one of the following criteria:

  • Dislocated worker
  • New entrants into the workforce
  • Incumbent workers
  • Veterans’ preference applies 

Participants must be Pasco or Hernando County eligible residents.
