CareerSource Pasco Hernando offers a wide range of training opportunities to individuals whether you are looking for training opportunities or just want to upgrade your qualifications. Our staff can assist you in reaching your goals. See what our training programs have to offer to get you in that higher paying competitive occupation today.


Through the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), selected individuals receive career guidance and possibly financial help with your training-related costs such as:


  • Tuition and fees
  •  Books


In some instances, funds may be available to aid with supplies, uniforms and shoes, and certification/licensure fees related to training completion.

Steps to WIOA Eligibility and Suitability.

All applicants/participants must meet eligibility of WIOA. Please understand that if eligibility is met under the federal guidelines for assistance, it does not mean suitability has been met. Suitability can be discussed further with the WIOA Employment Counselor. Suitability may address your current credentials, job skills and labor market statistics/information for Pasco Hernando.


To begin the eligibility determination, please complete the process as listed below:


Step 1:

Take a moment to watch the complete WIOA Online Orientation video below.


After watching the orientation, continue with the following steps:


Step 2:

Gather required documentation using the WIOA Application Checklist to build your file/application.


Step 3:

Complete a registration on Employ Florida, or update your existing profile if you already have one. (This step is required before completing the CASA assessment).


Step 4:

Complete the required assessment(s) for WIOA eligibility. This may include the CASA Assessment, TABE testing, or other approved assessments. The CASA Assessment can be taken with CareerSource Pasco Hernando—please note that an appointment is required.


Step 5:

Click the "Eligibility Application" button below to access the Application for WIOA.
Please complete
all forms in their entiretyincomplete applications will not be considered for training assistance.

The application includes the following required forms:

  • Skills Gap Analysis
  • WIOA Application
  • Grievance/Release of Information
  • Media Release
  • Service Agreement
  • Income Versus Expense Form
  • Documentation of Services
  • Career Plan
  • Budget

Please remember: WIOA is a “work first” program focused on helping individuals enter or return to employment as quickly as possible.

Becoming an Approved Training Provider

CareerSource Pasco Hernando invites you to submit your current training programs for addition to its Eligible Training Provider List (ETPL).


The Eligible Training Provider List (ETPL) is designed to assist individuals receiving WIOA services in finding training providers approved to receive WIOA funding for job training provided in-demand occupations.

Your training program may be eligible if it meets the criteria listed below:


  1. The program(s) offered must provide training for a statewide or local targeted occupation.
  2. The occupation’s entry wage should be greater than or equal to the region’s Lower Living Standard Income Level (LLSIL). Occupations with an entry wage lower than the region’s LLSIL may still be considered for career seekers enrolled in Welfare Transition or Young Adult programs.
  3. The Occupation must not be in decline.
  4. There must be a talent supply gap that is addressed by the occupation or training.
  5. Apply to Become an Approved Training Provider
  6. Before you can submit programs to be considered for our Eligible Training Provider List, you must apply to become an approved training provider with Florida Commerce by clicking on the Employ Florida below link.
