CareerSource Pasco Hernando offers a youth program designed to provide eligible 18-24 year old's with a variety of options to learn about career opportunities, and gain skills necessary to succeed in the workplace.


CareerSource Pasco Hernando offers a youth program designed to provide eligible 18-24 year old's with a variety of options to learn about career opportunities, and gain skills necessary to succeed in the workplace.

  • Valuable skills obtained through workshops, skills and abilities assessments, internships, job shadowing, industry tours, exposure to professional environments and short term occupational training, help to increase long‐term job prospects.


  • Service Learning Projects are undertaken where youth play an active role in improving their community while learning the value of community service.


  • Career exploration, resume development, interviewing skills, and labor market information are additional service strategies provided to give CareerSource Pasco Hernando youth an advantage in entering the world of work.

    Once you click on Apply Now, you will be directed to our Atlas system; please create an account, or login to your existing account if you have one. Once you have logged in, you will select the “My Forms” option located in your side toolbar and complete the Youth Program Application.

    The program provides opportunities for out-of-school youth in Pasco or Hernando county, ages 18-24, with a barrier to employment (high school dropout, homeless, runaway, foster child, teen parent, offender or basic skills deficiency) Income restrictions may apply.

  • What Job Will I Get?

    The one that’s right for you! In-depth career assessment and career exploration coupled with knowledge of the local labor market, and a positive attitude are your keys to success.

  • How Do I Apply?

    Visit a CareerSource Pasco Hernando office location near you or Apply Online.


    Once you click on apply now, you will be redirected to Log In. You will enter your last name and Social Security Number. (If you have not registered with our system, you will have to complete a registration form. Once you have completed the registration form, you can then return to this section, click on Apply Online and you will be redirected to log in.) Once you are logged in, you will be taken to the “Customer Dashboard” and you will select Youth Services in the green area. You will be redirected to this page, click on Apply Online, view the Media (green button), and complete the online application. Completing the Registration does not mean you have applied. You must view the media video and complete the program application.

Career Exploration

Introducing Pasco and Hernando students to career opportunities.

Clearwater Marine Aquarium

Students went on a behind the scenes tour of the Clearwater Marine Animal hospital. They were told about the aquarium's efforts in marine life preservation, as well as observe a sea turtle rescued and brought in the night before. There was a total of 26 Youth from Pasco and Hernando Counties who attended the trip.

MOSI

Students were able to explore MOSI and visit each one of their exhibits, which include Disasterville, Mission Moon Base, Bio Works Butterfly Garden, The Amazing you (human body exhibit) and attend several educational movies in the Imax theater. We had a total of 31 Youth from Pasco and Hernando counties attend this trip.

Stetson Law University

Students were given a tour of the campus. They were then taken into a court room where a group of 2 Lawyers, and 2 current Law students went through the process of selecting a jury for a trial. The students were able to interact, and give ideas on what they felt should be different with each Lawyer and the process. There was a total of 21 Youth from Pasco and Hernando counties who attended this trip.
